Being the fundamental organizational system of Song Dynasty court music activity, Song Dynasty court music organization concludes Jiaofang, Dayueshu, Guchuishu, Jiaoyuesuo, Dashengfu, Junrongzhi, Dongxiban, Yunshaobu and so on. Those all-time music organizations play a great importance in court music life, especially having a profound impact on the development of Song Dynasty music and court music as well. Among many different research papers and books on Song Dynasty music, the specialized researches on court music were rare, especially the discussion and analysis on the rise and fall of Song Dynasty court music organizations. Therefore, this paper deeply excavated and fully utilized the literal documents, aiming to further discuss the rise and fall of Song Dynasty court music organizations and relevant questions.By using the development of Two Song Dynastic history as clue, this paper analyzes the process, function and characteristics of the rise and fall of Song Dynasty court music organizations. And after an elaborate analysis of the rise and fall of Song Dynasty court music organizations and the history and structure of Song Dynasty court music organizations and music official system, it points out that during the 300 years'development of Two Song Dynasties, Song Dynasty court music system, evolved from the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, still demonstrates distinct interim characteristics of itself. The main part of the structure of the Song Dynasty court music organizations comes from the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, but during the 300 years' development, it can be divided into 3 phases, from early Song Dynasty to Yuanfeng period, from Yuanfeng period to Shaoxing period, and after Shaoxing period.Holding the characteristics of "valuing elegance while neglecting earthliness", the Song Dynasty court music is definitely different from the beginning of Dasiyue in the Zhou Dynasty and the fastigium of Yuefu in the Han Dynasty. It also varies from the peak of the Tang Dynasty court music organizations. With its own innovations and development of dynasties music before, the sovereigns and ministers of Song Dynasty have made great contributions to the court music in order to make the Song Dynasty court music possess its own long-lasting features. They also set up some court music organizations to maintain their local characteristics of music, such as Dashengfu. In addition, the sovereigns of the Song Dynasty eagerly hope to create the unique valuable musical form, such as the advancement and research of music temperament.
