Driven by the strategic transformation of the cultural industry, China has steppedup the pace of reform of the film industry, According to the "Outline of the12thFive-Year Plan":" to develop the film and television production and other key culturalindustries, accelerate the theater of small and medium-sized cities in central and westernareasconstruction."In2011，the film industry began the transformation and upgradingin this year, the Central Propaganda Department, the National Development and ReformCommission, Ministry of Finance, the State Administration of Radio, Film andTelevision and other four ministries promulgated a movie powerhouse Ten-Year Plan topromote the good momentum since the movie industry continues to maintainindustry-oriented reforms. China’s film will occupy a more important position in thepattern of world cinema, will play a more important role in shaping the national spirit,enhancing the national culture, showing the image of the country, at the same time，itis making due contribution on the era of globalization of world culture symbiosis,dialogue and exchange. With the reform of the state of the film mechanism, the filmindustry needs to make use of advanced science and technology conditions, the depth ofthe development and use of the film market information and resources, and thencontinuously improve the production of the film industry, operating the efficiency andlevel of decision-making, therefore the film industry statistical work along with thecorresponding changes. According to economic theory,this paper attempts to explore theStatistical Index System of the film industry, the aim is to fully understand andaccurately reflect the level of development of the film industry as a whole.In the begining of this article illustrates the background and significance of thetopics, then classificatly described the industrial development of the film industry andits statistical indicators at home and abroad, and pointed out the lack of statisticalindicators of China’s film industry, Finally, introducing the content, frameworkandstructure of this article.The second chapter through reference to the large number of domestic and foreignarticles, firstly defined the definition of the movie industry, and analyzed theconnotation and denotation of the film industry."Film industry" in the narrow sense,including of the three parts: production, distribution and screening. broad sense of thefilm industry is extended to other areas industries, formed by the intersection betweenindustries. Excepting above of the three parts, including: paying on demand, wired and wireless television network movie, mobile communication tools, audio and videopublishing, network play, movies, music, movies, advertising, games, toys otherindustries. The movie good’s commercial determines the film industry has both socialwelfare and business profitability. The economic theories of the film industry including:1film market follows the commodity market laws of supply and demand and theallocation of resources regularity;2.the industrial development of the film industry inline with the theory of industrial organization (paradigm of SCP),"diamond" model,industry value chain theoryanalytical framework.In the third chapter, analyze the relevant and basic economic theories, and mainlyintroduced the building guiding principles statistic index system of China’s filmindustry, introduced the processes and framework. It is prepare for designing of thefilm industry statistical index system.The guiding principles are divided into generalprinciples and the special principles. the general principles are the basic of building theindex system, it should including scientific integrity, comparability, operability, theprinciple of dynamic. The special principles are for the characteristics of the filmindustry and statistical purposes, including two aspects: one is added value of the coreprinciples,the other is adjusting the development of the film industry’s needs andpossibilities as the principle.In the fourth Chapter, according to the guiding principles designed the statisticalindex system of the film industry. This article followed "the framework of the culturalindustries and related industries statistical indicator system ", combining the propertiesof the film industry, and considering each influencing factors in the rules of the market,paradigm of SCP,"diamond"model, the value chain theory. Analyzing threeaspects:financial position,business activity indicators,the development of environmentalindicators. Statistical indicator system is not only simply overlay indicators, but alsothrough scientific and rational method to filter and removed the indicators. This articlehave used the method of combining quantitative and qualitative to adjustment andmodification the index system, resulting in a statistical index system of China’s filmindustry.The fifth chapter is a comprehensive appraisal and analysis of the Chinese filmindustry via the already built evaluation system. Due to the lack of data, the thesis issimply based on the business work of film industry, to give a evaluation to the workingcapability of the film industry, while to illustrate the feasibility and the availability ofthe established evaluation system. The sixth chapter is the last part of the thesis, and also a conclusion of the wholepaper. Because of the lacking data and experience, combined with the other factors outof control, the thesis is building a basic and simple statistic model of the film industry.Writing this thesis is to remind the related department and average scholars to recognizethe importance of the statistic work about film industry, in order to make it step up tothe final perfection.
