Migrant adolescent is a special youth groups whose age is usually between11or12to25that they come to city for learning, working, or just wandering. Migrantadolescent’s mental health means that in their growth process, they adapt well to theenvironment, develop the physical and mental potential, their standard of mental healthis in line with social expectation and in a state of feeling pleasure. This study willexplore the relationship between perceived social support and mental health of migrantadolescent and interveneperceiving social support to improve the status of mental health.It has important guiding value not only for the prevention of migrant adolescent’smental health, but also will enrich the psychological theory of migrant adolescent’smental and behavioral development.In this study, we made up the “Perceived Social Support Questionnaire” based onthe literature review and open questionnaire. Then,we tested597migrant adolescentby“Perceived Social Support Questionnaire” and “Mental Health Test”, and gave anintervention to37migrant adolescent. The results are as follows:Perceived Social Support Questionnaire has good reliability and validity.Perceived Social Support includes perceiving cognitive of receiving support, perceivingthe behavioral tendencies of receiving support, perceiving cognitive of giving supportand perceiving the behavioral tendencies of giving support.The scores of perceived giving social support are higher than perceived receivingsocial support.There are significant gender differences, whether they are the only childdifferences, whether they are student cadre differences, academic performancedifferences and learning stage differences on perceived social support of migrantadolescent.④The most prominent problem of migrant adolescent is learning anxiety, followedby allergic tendencies and physical symptoms.⑤There are gender differences on mental health and its factors of migrantadolescent; learning stage differences on allergic tendency; whether they are the onlychild differences on terror tendency.⑥There is a significantly positive correlation between perceived social supportand lonely tendency, physical symptoms and mental health. ⑦The levels of perceived social support and mental health are significantimproved after the group counseling.This study used a variety of methods to explore the relationship between perceivedsocial support and mental health of migrant adolescent and gave them an intervention,which helped us to understand the perceived social support and mental health deeperand provide reference for the mental health intervention of migrant adolescent.
