The Australian government is very strict restriction on the Chinese immigrants,even for the "white Australia policy" to exclude the introduction of the "White AustraliaPolicy" to the exclusion of people of color, including the Chinese before the year of1972. Labor Party came to power in1973, and carried out Multicultural Policy, and thenreceiving immigrants from Asia. Before the1970s, there are some Chinese womencame to Australia, most of them are based on family reunification type as a dependentspouse. In the early1980s, Australia attaches great importance to business immigrant’stype, not only to receive Chinese female immigrants from China, also for Chinesepopulations of countries such as Malaysia, Singapore. Therefore, starting in the1980s,Chinese women immigrants began to occupy an important position in the overallChinese immigrants, even was to catch up with men in a certain period of immigration.In the late1990s, the Chinese women’s movement was developing on an unprecedentedspeed. The growing Chinese woman immigration is not only a traditional "dependentspouse", also is no longer business immigration in the middle1980s, but is a technicalprofessional immigrant.The article is divided into three parts: the basic situation of Chinese womanimmigration in Australia before1972, the situation of basic characteristics, economicconditions, political and social status and the status of the education level, and somereflections of Chinese woman.The first section is the narration of Chinese women historical situation in Australiabefore1972.The second section is mostly composed of four chapters. Mainly analyze on thebasic features and other social characteristics of Chinese women after1972. Where theeconomic situation is discussed from several aspects including the reflect of theeconomic strength, the change of the occupational structure and the improve of annualincome. Where the improvement of political and social status is analysis from severalaspects including the enhance of the level of political participation and the developmentof social groups. While the education and cultural level is discussed from two aspectsincluding education participation and the increase of education level.The third chapter is induction and analysis of improvent of the status of Chinese female migrants in Australia, the problems of Chinese female have to face and how todeal with these problems.The last section is mainly let Chinese female immigrants in globalization era toexamine the reason for migrate to Australia and the special significance of China andAustralia.
