Translation is a cross-cultural communication, and its essence is thetransmission of cultural information. Cultural imagery reflects a nation’s culture,history and cultural cohesion and crystallization of the wisdom of the nation, andcultural imagery translate itself closely linked to the field of translation studies inmany controversial issues. Thus, this paper Hanwei Translation of Cultural Imagesconducted a study to explore effective ways to translate the cultural imagery. Themain contents are manifestations of cultural images Hanwei, Hanwei culturalimagery Hanwei cultural differences and translation of imagery way. According tothe American translation theorist Eugene Nida classification of culture, the culturalimagery into: biological and cultural imagery, imagery material culture, social andcultural imagery, religious and cultural imagery, historical allusions and culturalimagery and cultural imagery associated with the human body. Summed up the directconversion method, plus literal interpretation, plus lexical, replace, free translation infive different translation methods.
