Thirty years of reform and opening up, with the sustained, rapid and healthyeconomic and social development, the overall level of China’s economic rise, China’seconomic performance in the world rankings rising national strength, per capita GDPhas also been greatly growth, indicating that our people increasingly rich, livingstandards have greatly improved. To this end, the objective requires a culturaldevelopment and prosperity in order to better enhance China’s cultural soft power;Meanwhile, with the rapid development of economic globalization, not only causefrequent persons, goods, services, capital and other countries of the flow and causingideology, values, behavior fierce collision worldwide. This gives China’s culturaldevelopment has posed a serious challenge. In this study Marxism-culturalbackground research and concept for promoting the construction of China’s culturalpower of theoretical and practical significance.In this paper, based on Marx’s text, in his discussion of the basis on which the"culture" connotation, nature, content and other issues on the development from theperspective of the history of Marxism, Marx attempted to form a cultural concept, thedevelopment process of systematically collate and summarize Marx summarizedcultural view of main content. Article is divided into four parts. The first partintroduces the concept of social and historical conditions related concepts of Marxand cultural formation. The second part to clarify the formation of Marx’s concept ofculture, the development process. That " Critique of Hegel’s Philosophy of Law " isthe starting point of Marxist theory of culture;" Economic and PhilosophicalManuscripts of1844" is the initial creation of Marxist cultural theory; officiallyformed "German Ideology" marks the Marxist concept of culture. The third partdescribes the main contents of Marx’s concept of culture. The fourth part of the actualconstruction of contemporary Chinese culture, focusing on the analysis, discussesthe historical role of Marxism Culture and Its Contemporary Value.
