The Ming Dynasty was founded, with the recovery of Jiangnan economicand further development of Yixing ceramic industry, for rising of the purple clay pot rise to laid the foundation in the Ming dynasty. But the Ming Dynastywas changed a lot in the way of tea drinking than before, At the beginning ofThe Ming Dynasty, The first emperor of the Ming Dynasty Zhu Yuanzhang prohibit Matcha but promote Loose tea for taking pity on financial resources ofthe people, the Loose tea appeared and prevailed, changed the original way oftea drinking and habits, tea utensils also changed, at the same time loose teavery prevail in Ming Dynasty, the characteristics of “purple clay pot fit drinking” was recognized by people gradually, and formed the special profession ofmaking purple pottery, the workers make it into various shapes of the teapot for people drinking, and became very popular for lots of scholars in the middleand late Ming Dynasty.In the late Ming Dynasty, the emperors were more languid for affairs of state, and the eunuchs very rampant, at the same time prosperous Jiangnan region of commodity economy and society transition has changed, making scholarsstatus became poor than before, and the Yang-ming’s theory spread, made the scholars choosed diversified way of life in influence of the theory. In the late Ming Dynasty, the scholars pursuit of individuality, self, and return to nature, thiskind of psychological demands fitted the teapot, so the purple pottery as theHousehold utensils, the scholars’ loving and participating poured into the strongcultural atmosphere.While not only the southern economic was very prosperous, but also greatly changed people’s life style and thinking mode, the ethos of competing luxuryand overstepping very popular, the group of scholars and the common people contacted increasingly, purple clay pot as the Tea utensils were loved and pursu ed by scholars, and then speeded to the whole Jiangnan social gradually.
