Application Of Critical Thinking In Process Of English Majors’ Writing Practice

Despite the fact that the research on critical thinking is dramaticallyflourishing, the relevant research is rarely seen in the application of English writing.Research on critical thinking and the application of critical thinking skills in Englishwriting class is vitally essential and maneuverable to the cultivation of criticalthinking for English majors.The thesis fundamentally discusses the relationship between critical thinkingand English writing through clarifying the concept of critical thinking, describes theaffiliate skills of critical thinking skills in details, and conducts research on thefoundation of Delphi Report consensus on critical thinking, to evaluate students’critical thinking skills, to find out weak aspects and to explore how to improve thestudents’ critical thinking skills through writing. After a semester of critical thinkingskills training, students’ critical thinking skills have been evaluated again andanalyzed, and then the author summed up the training methods which are practicaland useful to improve the students’ critical thinking skills through writing training.
