Note-taking plays an important role in consecutive interpreting (CI), especially inlong CI tasks that may last for several minutes. Given its significance, a large numberof papers have been generated to explore note-taking for CI within China’sinterpreting research community. However, there has not been a systematic review ofthese researches so far, regarding what they are about and how they are done. Thispaper aims to examine these researches and give a general idea of China’s existingresearches into note-taking for CI. These studies are reviewed separately from theperspectives of research methods, theoretical basis and research areas for the referenceof future researchers. |
