| Generalized Quantifier Theory(GQT) is an important branch of Formal Semanticscontemporarily, it greatly differs from the classical quantifier theory for the quantifierconcept, and its extensive research on quantifier makes whose concept greatly expandedin logic research and obtain the considerable and great development.First, this paper distinguished the quantifier concept between the GTQ and theclassical quantifier theory. The classical quantifier theory just has two kinds of quantifiers,which are universal quantifier and special quantifier, but there also has many kinds ofquantifiers with different meaning in the natural language. This paper clarified thedifferent approach of the quantifier between the GQT and the classical quantifier theory bybuilding a logic form, and to analyzed of GQT how to characterize and distinguish themany quantifiers in the natural language.Second, this paper researched the concept of Natural Language Determiner(NLD).NLD is classified as quantifier category In GQT, there are determiners such as all, every,the and so on in the natural language. This paper compared to the similar meaningquantifier and the noun phrase with close relationship, better analyzed the theme of thestudy.Third, This paper is mainly analyzed the NLD special semantic characteristics andlogical properties. Broadly speaking, GQT gives an accurate and intuitive description ofthe semantic characteristics of the various types quantifiers in the natural language, anddivided the quantifiers into different types according to the different semanticinterpretation. NLD corresponds to the <1,1> type of quantifier.This paper mainly based on the GQT used the study method of organizing theconcepts from large to small, at the same time used the interpretation methodology ofPredicate Logic, and with the help of many important theory tools such as Set Theory,expounded profoundly in simple terms the logic research value of the natural languagedeterminer in the GQT category. |
