This paperanalysis the creation attitude and the theme and content of Jiayou Li, based onmeticulous combing Jiayou Li life, in order to understand Jiayou Li and his poemscomprehensively.At this stage, the research on Jiayou Li is dispersed, mainly focuses on his lifestory and overall summary about the thoughts and artistic features of his poetries.Referring previous studies, the paper investigates the life, poetry mentality, poetrythemes, poems, etc. For the life, we launched by combing birth and death, place oforigin and official career of Jiayou Li. In order to describe the life of Jiayou Li, thispaper proposed new analysis methods on the basis of the literatures demonstratedand the pros and cons of previous study. For the poetry mentality, this paperconducted a comprehensive analysis about the main factors during the formation ofJiayou Li poetry mentality, and described how these factors manifesting concretelyin poetries. The author believes the mind and official career of Jiayou Li has beenthe impact of the unstable social environment. Jiayou Li`s poetry always had a sadfeeling because the disappointments road of official career. Religious habits of theTang Dynasty and the southern unique regional style ingratiate his tired feelingsabout officialdom and the psychological demands of desire for seclusion. For poetrytheme and poetry contents, the paper discussed the documentary poems andvaledictory poems. This paper argues that Jiayou Li’s poetries not only records hisown spiritual path, but also demonstrates the bitter history of the Tang Dynasty fromthe gloom and doom. Jiayou Li’s poems not only describe his officialdom fate ofhimself displaced, ups and downs, also have the reality disclosure and publicconcerning throughout the documentary poems.
