Comparative Study Of Interest Of Modern Chinese Reader, Elementary Chinese Readers And New Practical Chinese Reader

The development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language for more than half acentury, promoted the Chinese textbook writing, especially in the past twenty years,China emerged a large number of and a variety of Chinese textbook. But at the sametime, there are a lot of problems in the Chinese textbook, among them the problem ofinterest of the textbooks is prominent, have more negative evaluation. But theproblem of interest of Chinese textbooks is important for teaching Chinese as aforeign language; it directly affects the achievements and development prospects ofteaching Chinese as a foreign language. Therefore, to make comparative study on theembodiment of interest of Chinese textbooks in the process of compiling textbook hasits theoretical and practical significance.Modern Chinese Reader, Elementary Chinese Readers and New PracticalChinese Reader are three adult comprehensive Chinese textbooks with distinctcharacteristics of the times; they are very representative in Chinese textbooks. Makinga comparison of interest of these three textbooks from the text, the non text, the formof textbook three aspects, we can seen, with the changes of the times and thedevelopment of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, although there are still manyproblems, but the textbook compilers learn more about textbook interest, the interestof Chinese textbook is also growing.Accordingly, we propose the following suggestions to improve the interest ofChinese textbook:1.Compile textbooks with learner-centered idea.2.To enrich thecontent of the text topic.3.The text genre diversifies.4.Enhanced narrative text and thecultural connotation on the basis of reality.5.The use of humorous language in the text.6. Add some vocabularies with China cultural characteristics and new languagefactors in vocabulary.7. Try to use intuitive,concise formula and table for showingthe grammar, reduce the use of grammatical terminology.8.The exercises types arenovel and diverse,and the content of the exercise be lively and vivid.9. Divorce thestudy of characters from the conversation text properly, and explain the meaning ofChinese characters with pictures.10. The colorful and beautiful generous cover; thevivid, interesting and various illustrations; the lively and striking layout.
