With the latest excavation of a series of archaeological data and sites, Dongyi culture, especially Levin culture, has attracted more and more attention, and has made some achievements.Lai are founded by the ancient Lai Yi clan, beginning form the Xia and Shang, for the surname Jiang, the offspring of Yandi Shennong, not early in the Xia and Shang, just a tribal of Dongyi family, known as Lai Yi, mainly distributed in today’s Zibo Weifang River basin and the east of the area, after that establish Levin, gradually growing, and border on Qi, and to be one of the four ancient of Shandong, national strength strong, developed economy, vast area, once enjoy equal great reputation with Qi, and later defeated in the war with Qi.This paper is divided into six parts, the first section is to briefly introduce the origin and distribution of the Dongyi, and look upon the advanced culture created by Dongyi people from the aspects of culture; the second part is to introduce Lai Yi in the Xia and Shang Dynasties, mainly from two aspects,one is to talk about Lai Yi ethnic distribution, the other one is mainly to introduce the process of evolution from indigenous people to the state of Lai Yi; the third part is to introduce Levin countries of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the frontier area and its development degree after the founding, and then introduce the relations with neighboring countries; the fourth part is to use the development of Lai in the Spring and Autumn Period to demonstrate whether Levin and Donglai are two countries, as well as the famous Lai Qi war which leads to the demise of Levin country; the fifth part is to discuss Levin’s advanced culture, and the profound influence to the Central Plains culture by the development with Levin cultural; the sixth part is to draw a conclusion, mainly to look upon the final trend of Levin culture, that is to say that finally integrate into the Central Plains culture, and form the famous Chinese culture.
