Aesthetic education refers to the cultivation of people’s emotional sense in line with the aesthetics, aiming at achieving human’s all-round development by taking image as the means of aesthetic education and emotion as the core element. Music aesthetic education is the major part of aesthetic education and plays an important role in quality education. The aesthetic education of music in higher learning institutions is to cultivate and improve students’capacity to feel the beauty. Thus music aesthetic education plays an important part in the quality education and inevitable to the humanities. The aesthetic education of music, as the most common and widely acceptable form of art, plays an inmeasurable role in the growth of contemporary college students. There is a quality education base for undergraduate students in Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, which is the best place to to improve students’ aesthetic taste of music and their comprehensive quality. This paper conducts a survey of the aesthetic education of music of the Inner Mongolia Agricultural University by discussing the function of music aesthetic education in the construction of campus culture in colleges and universities, exploring training approaches to improve their aesthetic taste of music, and summing experiences and laws in music aesthetic education activities in colleges and universities. It is hoped that this thesis can make some valuable reference to the musical aesthetic education of higher educational institutions, especially in agricultural colleges and universities to carry out the music aesthetic education.
