The Clarinet Orchestra Excerpts Training And Solving The Technical Problems

The students in professional conservatory must study the clarinet orchestraexcerpts. Although the excerpts are short, it needs complex performing skills to playthem. Players need to care about the control of sound, intonation, rhythm, etc in everysingle bar. The fundamental training of clarinet includes long notes, scales, arpeggiosand etude. This training is in order to improve personal ability and practice thefundamental performing skill. Once the training direction turn to orchestra excerpts,the performing skills, which are practiced by regular fundamental training, can not beequal to the requirement of some difficult clarinet orchestra excerpts. Therefore, it isnecessary to develop the clarinet fundamental training. In this article, the authoranalyze the difficult part of orchestra excerpts according to sound and technique, tryto find out which parts are not being trained by regular training and develop thespecific methods and requirements of fundamental training.There are three parts in this article. Chapter one introduce the clarinet orchestraexcerpts and clarinet fundamental training. Chapter two according to the hard part oforchestra excerpts to develop the practicing methods of breath, long notes, inner andouter embouchure. In Chapter three introduce the difficult parts of technique inorchestra excerpts and new methods to practice intonation, rhythm, finger techniqueand articulation.
