This article investigates the music communication activity at WangFu village in JiuJiao town of Xiahe County which is a farming village in Labrang Tibetan areas by using the knowledge of musicology and communication. It expounds the communication and development of Labrang Tibetan music in different cultural context and its evolution, and analyzes how the music to use media to complete its own innovative development. From the fieldwork in WangFu village, The author found that the development of economy and society make traditional Tibetan area experience the modern changing. New things, new invention and multivariate ideas from outside are quietly changing the villages’ original life. Especially, the development of media technology makes important influence on the villagers’ productive labor, communication, entertainment and so on. Among them, the mass media such as broadcasting, television can be seen as the first try on communicating the external information widely on alpine grassland. After that, the mobile new media have a wider popularity and a more important influence because of its advantage of convenient which is complement and align with the herdsmen’s life. From the fieldwork on musical communication in WangFu village, the author found that the music itself makes a different degree change in a communicational environment which has a develop society and changing media constantly. The traditional way of musical communication is spread through word of mouth. The forms of music are not easy to change radically in a relatively closed and stable situation. While, the musical communication activities in the modern media such as broadcasting, television and mobile can be spread in a wider range because it get rid of the limitation of time and space, the music itself become unstable for the reason of the exoteric and abundant situation, and it is easier to make a change under the stimulus and influence from modern foreign culture. On this basis, after the comparative analysis between Tibetan opera "NanMuTe", the performance "DingLing" and the love song "LaYi", the article concluded that the religious connotation and art form of buddhist music keep the most stable because it is controlled by religious culture. By contrast, the folk music is easier to make a change because of its impromptu and changeable characteristics. This change become a new cultural element, and add to the original music culture to be a part of the culture, then lead to the growth of new culture and the change of old culture. Finally, the local traditional music culture complete its innovative development.
