| Abstract:Due tothe development of teaching Chinese at a university level throughout Thailand hasn’t been carried out at the same time, therefore; a problem of an unbalancing development at a regional level still exists. The duration of opening Chinese course in a university in northeastern area is a bit shorter comparing with other regions of hailand. Thus, some problems of teaching Chinese in all aspects in northeastern area still exist. After did an internship as a Chinese teacher in2013at Ubon Ratchathani Raj abhat University, which located in northeastern of Thailand, I chose this university as a research object to conduct a survey onteaching Chinese at a university level in northeastern of Thailand, and used a questionnaire method to survey Chinese department teachers, Chinese major students and other aspects that related to teaching Chinese. The results showed that the Chinese proficiency of the students are uneven, the curriculum is not consistent with the students’needs, teachers lack of teaching abilitiesand experiences, teachers’team is not stable, teaching materials’problems and so on. In the last chapter, someuseful suggestionsand references are provided for theimprovement of teaching Chinese at a university level in northeasternof Thailand. |
