In global, the Thunder god faith is very common in nature gods faith. In China, the Thunder god faith also widely exists. The image of the Thunder god is colorful, and its stories showed so much developing possibility when time flies.In South of China, a lot of places are famous for there weather because of thundering a lot. It makes the situation that the Thunder god stories are more in south than north of China. In South of China, the duty of Thunder god, the figures of the Thunder god, and where the Thunder god came from is known in different way by the groups here. It also makes the Thunder god story special in ethnic groups in south:For the tale type, the Thunder god stories are often related to the Flood Myth, Creation Myth and Oviparous Myth. And the figure of the Thunder god is often looks like a rooster or a bird. In the stories the Thunder god has the duty to create the world, rebuild the world, and punish the bad actions and so on. So this thesis will research the Thunder god stories from the ethnic group which live in southern. According to comparing the different text, classifying the motifs, analyzing the tale type and analyzing the figures, find out the way how the Thunder god changed its "face" and how the type of the Thunder god story texts and its narrate way developed.
