During the Song dynasty, the communication of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism is very popular. Bai Yuchan placed himself in the times, actively practice the communication. He said that the Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism are same and they come from one source. Based on the idea, Bai Yuchan get together the law of mental training of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism with alchemy practice. He conformed to Dao by mind and practiced alchemy by mind and use Thunder Rites by mind. He shows very obvious trend of mental training. Bai Yuchan thought that mind and Dao is same, he placed Dao in the mind. If you know your mind, you will understand the Dao. In this way, the Dao becomes easy to grasp. Bai Yuchan compromised mental training and alchemy, he thought that the mind is alchemy. The Dao is ontology, the alchemy is function. The alchemy is used to correspond to Dao, the key to success lies in mental training. Several important factors and the order of alchemy all point to mental training. During the Song dynasty, the thunder magic go onto the stage of history. Bai Yuchan also thought that the power of thunder depend on the honest of mind. We must to improve our morality to control the thunder.
