Analysis On Application Of Gradient Forms In Costume Designing

Using formal linguistics of design, basic theoretical knowledge of aesthetics and somerelated theories of arts and design, this dissertation presents an analytic al study ongradually changing color, gradient forms as well as its application in costume designing.Also, by classifying and integrating the varied styles of gradient forms in costumedesigning, it analyzes the characteristics of gradient costume, and the social factors to theacceptance of it. Meanwhile the influence caused by gradient costume on the Mainstreamconsumer groups is analyzed.With the collection and induction of a great number of books and magazines, also aseries of case studies and market survey, the dissertation classifies and sums up theapplications of gradient forms in the present clothing market and the industries related to it,and especially the different elements of gradient form in clothing and accessories.At last, studying the typical cases of the fashion shows, the dissertation develops anidea of design: the combination of gradient forms and modern fashion design. From thedesign objects, it makes an analysis on the diverse preferences for gradient forms ofdifferent groups, races, ethnicities. It helps the designer to integrate the artisticcharacteristics of gradient form, such as, color and texture, with the current trends andmainstream design styles, thereby produce the designs with his own styles, which alsocomplies the current popular trend and meet the market demand.
