Analyze The Use Of Media Materials In Watercolor

Art is constantly developed innovative ideas in the process. Law of the developmentof art tell us: Any kinds of painting independence are changing from their material medium,tool performance, means of expression, the operation, aesthetic consciousness and culturewith the development of the times. As a watercolorist, I need to devote attention to bodylanguage of watercolor, follow their own material advantage, reflect light and transparent,fresh and bright features. At the same time, I also need to absorb the concepts andtechniques of other kinds of painting well and try to use special media materials. Onlywhen we dare to think and strive to explore, discover courage, and own a bold attempt, wecan expand the field of watercolor art performance further and achieve a true expression ofthemselves and the world around us with the unique way of personality.In this paper, I explore how to broaden the art language of watercolor with the startingpoint that media material is used in watercolor. First, I clarify the necessity of mediamaterials used in watercolor through the analysis to the "standard","tradition" watercolor.Secondly, I try to provide more means of expression for artists and enrich watercolorperformance capabilities through analyzing and interpreting some successful paintersworks to discuss the characteristics of watercolor media materials and revealing the use ofthese media materials. Finally, I make the argumentation further that the reasonable andclever use of media materials can create a richer watercolor art language to express thetheme of the work better by combining creative practice with the use of media materials.
