The thesis is a study on the evolution of the mode of acceptance which has been changed by3-D films.First,I will highlight the significance of the study from the point of audience because the renaissance of stereoscopic films is built on the widely acceptance by the audience. And another reason is the attributes of3-D films which differ from those of tranditional films have changed the experience to see a film profoundly. It is the acceptance that maters rather than the filmmakers, the medium or the technology itself.Second,I will list the influences on the mode of acceptance from3-D films through an analysis of the reasons why the new3-D technology chooses to combine with films rather than other kinds of media, the change of the status of film audience, the impact on the rules of understanding of a film traditionally. The thesis will show the transition of the genre and audio-visual language further to complete the frame structure of the evolution of the mode of acceptance. At last, the conclusion will restate the change of the mode of acceptance to show some influences on epistemology which is in play in the era of3-D-to be.
