With the development of globalization, the importance of English in the interculturalcommunication has become more obvious. In the process of English learning, Englishlearners get contact with advanced western culture, and gradually, they reduce their ownculture identities. English major students are not only the accepter of target culture but alsothe spreader of native culture. However, English teachers concern more about the cultivationof English language ability and the acquisition of western culture in the process of Englishacquisition. As a result, English learners naturally ignore the native culture learning. Theignorance of Chinese culture directly leads to the aphasia of traditional culture, which is tosome extent, hinder the cultivation of the intercultural communicative competence.Combining the relevant theories of intercultural communication, the author employssurvey study, respectively in forms of questionnaire and interview. In this study,200Englishmajors from a university of Liaoning Normal University were selected as subjects. This studyaims to investigate the mastery of traditional culture, the English expressive ability oftraditional culture and the current situation of English major students’ culture identity ofnative culture are investigated. The author tries to analyze the factors leading to “Chinesecultural aphasia” from the perspective of intercultural communication. According to theanalysis the factors of “culture aphasia”, in order to improve the current situation of cultureteaching, the author comes up with strategies related with culture teaching in English teachingclass from various aspects, such as teaching syllabus, curriculum design, test etc.A variety of English loaded with Chinese culture is put forward, that is China English.According to the language skill of intercultural communicative competence, the authorconnects the concept of China English with cultural concepts. The application of ChinaEnglish can help students get over Chinese cultural aphasia, solve their culture identity andfasten their culture identity. This thesis discusses the necessity and possibility of acquiringChina English of English majors. It opens up a new method for cultivating bicultural Englishtalents.
