It is a romantic and fantasy fiction and has notbeen translated into Chinese. My translation part is from Chapter Thirteen to Chapter Seventeen. My translation report includes four parts, which contains the description of the mission, maintheoretical foundation and its application, description of translating process and the mission summary. Thetranslator adopted Nord’s model for translation-oriented text analysis as her theoretical framework toanalyze the translation commission, the role of ST analysis and the functional hierarchy of translationproblems and to determine the translation orientation of translated text. Furthermore, the translator has useddifferent translation strategies, such as literal translation, free translation and respectively to deal with someconcrete problems concerning religion, astronomy, natural images, personal language features and longdifficult sentences.
