Before Kant’s concept of dignity produced proof on concept of dignity has three stages: a rational viewof the dignity of the ancient Greek and Roman times, medieval Christian concept of God is supremedignity of the equal dignity concept of the Age of Enlightenment. Among them, the emergence of a rationalview of the dignity of the ancient Greek and Roman ideas of Kant has an important impact. Concept ofdignity of ancient Greek and Roman times to emphasize man as a member of the natural world with thedignity of people through self-improvement, moral improvement, the medieval Christian God concept isalso respected the dignity of man should strive to enhance the virtue of self, so this concept of dignity canbe attributed to two areas of the dignity of virtue concept. Age of Enlightenment concept of equal dignityand the dignity of the modern debate on the issue have highlighted the dignity of modernity, human dignityitself, with a lofty value is within the scope of rational concept of dignity. Kant learn the characteristics ofthe traditional concept of dignity, a dignity of its own concept of Basis, while also providing a theoreticalbasis for the modern concept of dignity.Kant argued that the concept of dignity applies to all rational beings in the universe, the dignity of arational premise to follow the law of freedom under the control of purpose to act, embodied in the personrelative to other natural objects and human self-improvement is a relative value and absolute value. Kantbelieves that the natural world is of no value in itself, but as a destination if they exist, then it has a certainvalue, the value is relative value, as opposed to people. Human dignity is relative to the improvement andreflect the value of the natural world, highlighting the status of the concept of dignity. People relative tointrinsic value and the absolute value of the natural world, highlighting the value reflects the concept of dignity. Commonly referred to as the dignity refers to whether the person has dignity, the object is todetermine who is also the subject for people, then to be understood as the main human dignity is unfoldingaround. Kant believed to be part of the intrinsic value of human dignity of the subject, it is a special kindof intrinsic value, not what we reasonably believe that the general intrinsic value, it exists in Kant gives itmeaning into.Kant’s concept of dignity has important applications in contemporary bioethics, bioethics debate is theessence of the concept and definition of dignity, the dignity of Kant’s concept plays an important role infuture generations of dignity and understanding.
