Research On The Economic Growth Effect By Cultural Industry In Hunan Province

Cultural industry with its salient features of low energy consumption, light po l-lution, high added value and sustainability lead industrial innovation and regionaleconomic growth of every country, gradually becoming one of the pillar industries ofa country and region. Vigorously developing the cultural industry is not only stronginternal demand on implementation of the cultural district strategy in Hunan Province,but also is an important way to achieve sustainable development of economy and s o-ciety.Firstly, the paper analyzes the status, characteristics of cultural industries inHunan Province and related problems. And on the one hand, the industrial scale,economic contribution, industry structure, spatial aggregation and degree of special i-zation cultural industries in Hunan Province are in good shape. It has taken full a d-vantage of channels such as cultural exhibition, broadening cultu ral diversity andbuilding brands to reveal "Hunan characteristics". On the other hand, there is alsoexisting insufficiencies such as the irrational industrial structure, inadequate inves t-ment of industry, lagging behind on the core cultural layer, digging underutilized incultural resources and relative low integration of the technology and cultural.And then, we study the cultural industries pulling effect based on Hunan Prov-ince in2002and2007input-output table, finding that cultural’s industry forwardpulling effect on the economy is significant, and the backward promoting ability onthe industrial development is insufficient. The cultural industry in Hunan provincebelongs to low intermediate input, high value added industries, and more biased infavor of life service industry, whose output is more oriented to the final demand ofmarket. The influence coefficient and the sensitivity coefficient to the Hunan provinceculture industry is less than1, and is not closely related to other industries In the as-pect of supply push and demand pull.Further through Hunan province computable general equilibrium model (HNUGE)to assess the short and long-term economic effect about the cultural industry in HunanProvince on economic growth, conclusions imply that: In the short run, pulling effectof the core culture industry in Hunan province on GDP is stronger than the stimulatingeffect of related cultural industry, the core of culture industry employment impellenteffect is notable, and the development reflects strong export-led and price stability effect. In the long term, the core of cultural industry in Hunan province has the strongeffect on GDP, can effectively stimulate domestic demand. Whether in the short orlong term, the development of cultural industries in Hunan Province has varying im-pact on each industry, and the core cultural industries paly a promoting role in moreindustries whereas pulling effect of related cultural industries is not significant.
