The Research Of The Fable Of "Han Feizi" In The Perspective Of The Legalist Thought

So far, the academics who take part in researching "Han Feizi" mainly focused on the summary of the political philosophy theory system; they analyzed the characteristics of its fable mainly from the literal, stylistic and linguistic perspective, but the research of the fable of "Han Feizi" in the field of political philosophy is much weaker. Despite the lack of attention, Han Fei’s legalism which is summed up as the previous political theory system of "law"、"method"and"situation" has become the main idea of fables in "Hai Feizi" inevitably. I believe that the fable in "Han Feizi" is the carrier of Han Fei’s legalism and the conception and writing of each fable is organized around Han Fei’s legalism. So when we research the fable in "Han Feizi", we won’t figure out the literary characteristics of the fable which is definitively influenced by Han Fei’s legalism until we completely understand the whole legalist political thought of Han Fei.This paper attempts to approach the subject from four perspectives; Han’s political philosophy、the political philosophy in Han’s fable creation, artistic innovation and disadvantages in Han’s fables.Part one includes three main ideas, that is,the ideological foundation of Han’s ideaology, Han’s political system of " potential"," art" and " Law" and his idea of" human evil ",aiming to clarify the source of Han’s idealogy and the main ideas of the book"Han Feizi". The second part is to explore the creation of fable under contemplation of his political philosophy.This part is divided into two smaller parts, that is, the composition and political purposes in Han’s writing. The third part focuses on the motivation of the life-concerning meaning in Han’s fable, to come to the conclusion that the independent characteristics in Han’s fable is attributed to the combined effect of its distinctive style and unique aesthetic expression.The last part is the withdraws of "Han Feizi", focusing on the ideological content of conflicts in his work.In conclusion, this paper is aiming for the future allegorical creation, dissemination and further research ideas. "Han Feizi" is the mile-stone od the independence of fable writing. Research in this field for now is not too mature, we also need to continue in-depth study of the system, in order to better grasp this style and to promote new development of contemporary fables.
