During the Spring and Autumn Period time, it frequently accrued regicide events, there are39regicide events in which royal family members and ministers were murdered among the total46events. This essay intends to explore the turbulent Spring and Autumn Period time through analyzing reasons, processes, influences and characteristics of regicide events. It consists of following parts:the introduction part describes review of regicide events research history and its significances, ideas, methods; the first part refines the meaning of words:murder and king so as to show those events’ basic characteristics more completely, based on this, it has a statistic and preliminary analysis on regicide events happened in each ducal state and each period of the Spring and Autumn Period time; The second and third part respectively introduce regicide events involved with royal family members and ministers, study ducal state domestic affairs including succession rules and practices as well as power struggles between the king and officials at that time; The fourth part discusses influences on ducal state diplomatic relations of regicide events, to find a close relationship between regicide events and political hegemony; The fifth part discourses that there existed different characteristics of regicide events happened before and after the Second Truce Alliance. Through the study of this article, we can see that regicide event is an extreme means of political change, however, with the evolution of political system fewer and fewer ducal state adopt the approach. The Warring States Period, important ducal states in central china gradually built a new state system that is authoritarian state form.
