During the Anti-Japanese War, Tianjin, as one of the most important bases of Japanese in north China, was built by Japanese elaborately and a large number of traitors convened there. Those traitors were roisterous and they committed all manners of crimes, relying on enemy forces to infringe people’s rights during the Japanese occupation in Tianjin, and their behaviour disgusted everybody. How to punish the traitors became a primary problem which the National Government had to deal with as soon as Tianjin was reoccupied after the war. The traitors’structure is complex and intimate,so it’s hard to capture and trial them, and the way of dealing with traitors by the National Government had many disadvantages, despite that its action was positive in punishing traitors in Tianjin objectively, but its closed policy and many problems in the process of catch and judgment traitors made the government lose confidence of people, lose its dominance in civil war, and lose it’s regime.
