This study, taking the case of Sichuan Zigong Hongguang Group Ltd. asan example, makes an research on the company’s human resource management, utilizingthe combined method of standard theoretical analysis and field research analysis, in theaim of integrating traditional Confucian Humanism into the corporate human resourcemanagement, thus finding a new plight-solving path for the corporate development inthe mining machinery industry in China.The main content of the thesis is as follows:1) Chapter1mainly discusses the background and the significance of the researchand, on the basis of domestic and foreign research literature review, designs the programof this study.2) Chapter2first describes the concept of Confucian Humanism, then introducesits main content, and finally illustrates the relationship between traditional ConfucianHumanism and modern human resource management.3) Chapter3first discusses the development of the mining machinery industry,then introduces the basic information of Sichuan Zigong Hongguang Group Ltd., andfinally describes the company’s specific practices in human resource management.4) Chapter4focuses on the company’s internal staff satisfaction survey and theresult analysis of the data collected.The study finds that although many people-oriented management initiatives weremade by Zigong Hongguang, they were unsatisfactorily implemented due to the statusof human resource management limitations, such as the imperfect human resourcemanagement system, the obsolete human resource management method, the rapiddevelopment of staff training which fails to achieve the desired effect, the absence ofcorporate culture, the employees’ lack of initiatives, etc. Therefore, the author advocatesthat Zigong Hongguang further enhance the human resource managers’ status in thecompany, improve the company’s human resource management system, develop the corporate culture blending traditional Confucian culture, associate the human resourcemanagement closely with the corporate strategy, and select appropriately somemanagement consulting firms for outsourcing the human resource management.
