Chinese western swordsmen films as a type of film with Chinesecharacteristics appeared before and after1920and began to be popularand grow up gradually after1927,and had a history of80years. Itshould be said that “the swords men films”. Hong Kong martial arts filmhas always been an excellent representative of Chinese swordsmenfilms. Martial arts films is the most mature Chinese narrative in the filmtypes of movies.In the history of cinema a hundred years, America’s westerns filmand Chinese swordsmen films had developed. They are becoming one ofthe world’s most famous types of movies.Chinese western films produced in the1980s,the natural scenery ofthe west movie became the mainstream. Western films have graduallybecome a compelling creation genre gradually.The combination of the Chinese western movie and Chinaswordsmen films are the result of the evolution of social, historical andcultural diversity.“swordsmen films” and “west” have commoncharacteristics.
