In recent years, there has been an increasing amount of Mongolian songsin the landscape of music. Music like this not only could let people get toknow about Mongolian culture through the lyrics and melody, but also makesitself more popular with its national characteristics and fashionable elements.Meanwhile, in this vast ocean of music, a great deal of excellent Mongolianmusic works and musicians have appeared. For example:“Father’s Grasslandand River” and “Hulun Buir Prairie” from the famous Mongolian composerUlam Tor Yanga,“My home, The Beautiful Grassland” from the greatMongolian musician and singer De Dema. All of those works mentionedabove have actually been spread beyond the grassland and into the worldwide.The following article will briefly analyze the mezzo-soprano songs fromMongolian music. Hopefully, based on the author’s performances andanalyses, the Mongolian songs could be even perfected and a breakthroughcould be made in how the mezzo-soprano in Mongolian style are sung, theneventually carry forward the Mongolian style music.The article is separated into four parts:The first part mainly introduces the origin and development of theMongolian music and makes people know that the Mongolian music cannever be parted away from the great landscape of the Mongolian plateau andthe unsophisticated character of Mongolian people.The second part embodies the features of the composition of Mongolianmusic from the following five factors: Composing background, melodies’characters, and way of the accompaniment, beat and rhythm and expressionsof emotion.The third part is to describe the characters of the mezzo-soprano singingin Mongolian music by taking the famous mezzo-soprano singers like DeDema, Alatai and Aldan Qiqige as example and separately introducing and analyzing of their performances, then show the characters of the tune andemotion in the voice of mezzo-soprano of Mongolian music.The last part narrates the importance of inheritance development ofmezzo-soprano works in Mongolian music, the inheritance and protection ofMongolian culture and songs. All of those are the things for the people like usto devote into and work hard on.
