Discussing The Creation Of "Off-broadway"

The concept of off Broadway is relative to the Broadway’s big-budget production, in the United States, its main places is off Broadway. Because of small production, low cost, simple stage decoration, life-style plots, exquisite character, concise music and so forth, it received a warm welcome of the general public, and it spreads to various countries from Off-Broadway. This paper takes tiny theater music as research subject, trying to explore the reason why it is at the beginning of original composing in China and other Asian countries by analyzing its characteristics. its forming and development history, and tending to explain its influence on musical composing. The full text is divided into four chapters:The first chapter introduced the basic situation of tiny theater musical and its characteristics. As a result of smaller funding investment and scale of tiny theater musical, they have a disproportionate level of influence on choreography, scripts, orchestration and the actor’s performance.Chapter2is to state why these characteristics of tiny theater musical make it a good choice at the beginning of original composing in China by introducing development history in Europe and the United States and presenting the experience of the abruptly rising musical market in Asia, etc..The third chapter is to analyze the tiny musical instance’s tonality, rhythm, orchestration, and then to summarize how they are under the control of the characteristics of tiny theater musical, and how did they impact on the musical composing.The fourth chapter illustrated my tiny theater musical composing practices, and concluding the usage in my composition of grasping themes, rhythm, orchestration so on and so forth by analyzing tiny theater musical.
