Wu Meicun had an indissoluble bond with the Buddhism. He made friendswith dozens of monks, and he became a Buddhist. There were more than100poems in his poetry anthology. He was accustomed to using Buddhistallusions in his poems, and he was good at using "Fan An" method.Inaddition, there were a number of poems reveal Buddhist illusoryconsciousness etc.He advocated "Xing Qing" Poetics that had all kindsof connections with the Buddhist theory. But all through his life Wu didnot live in seclusion. The reason is quite worth pondering. This paper is divided into three parts. The first part reviews therelated Buddhist Poems focusing on Wu Meicun and the famous monk’sfriends, and clarify the influence of Buddhism on him in the importantmoments of life. The second part mainly discusses the relationship betweenMei Cun’s poems and Buddhism, such as the Buddhist thought in hispoems, the "Fan An" method, the using of Buddhist allusions and the "XingQing" Poetics. The last part attempts to explore the reason why Wu Meicuneventually did not seclude.
