Fairness is regarded as the core of morality. Equality sensitivity refers to individual’sstable and individualized response to perceived fairness or unfairness, while it also remainsmalleable during development. From a developmental perspective, children who reactdifferently to equitable and inequitable distribution in the allocation condition and have apreference for equity are considered to have sensitivity to equity. Many domestic andinternational scholars had carried on a great deal of empirical research but had not come to anagreement about the equity sensitivity of children under4years old. The research methods aretaken for the main reason and the third party task (i.e. individual as an evaluator ofdistribution fairness in tasks) is a more positive approach. So the paper are aimed at exploringthe developmental characters of children’s equity sensitivity in allocation condition. In studyone, the equity sensitivity of1832-to4-year-old infants and young children would beexplored by VOE paradigm, which had investigated the difference between looking time indifferent distributions. Then the factors influencing equality sensitivity of72children indistribution condition would be examined in study two, including social situation, distributionresources, and order on the children’s equity sensitivity. The main findings are as follows:1. Infants in2years old have already possessed equity sensitivity.2. Children’s looking time to unfair distribution are longer than fair distributionremarkable in social situation, while not in nonsocial situation.3. Children’s looking time to unfair(dissymmetry) distribution are longer thanfair(symmetry) distribution remarkable no matter in what order.4. Children possess equity sensitivity with both distributing2and4sweetmeats.
