Dong Chuance’s(1530-1579) name call’s Yuan Han, another name is You Hai, born in Songjiang inaction state in Ming Dynasty(now Shanghai Songjiang County). He is banished from the court to Nanning in Guangxi, because he sends up a memorial impeaching Yan Song to JiaJing Emperor in1558. He has written lots of articles and poems during ten years staying in Guangxi, the number of his poems as many as about850. Combined with his other writings, focus on ideological content and artistic features of his poems written in Guangxi to conduct the comprehensive systematic study.Discussed in this paper is divided into six parts:the introduction part summarizes the academia of Dong Chuance’s literary works research present situation, according to Dong Chuance’s poetry study the actual situation of the weak, expounding the research value of Dong chuance’s poetry for the first time. The body of the paper is divided into four chapters:the first chapter of Dong Chuance’s life and literary works; the second chapter analyses the ideological content of his poems written in Guangxi, mainly embodied in five aspects:the first is dedication-and-replay poetry, the second is scenery poetry, the third is custom poetry, the forth is drift-themed poetry, the last is object-chanting poetry and others; the third chapter analyses artistic characteristics of these poems, mainly embodied in three aspects:the unique character of poetic images, all kinds of styles of poems, and changeable rhetoric; the fourth chapter evaluates the literary and cultural value of his poems, mainly embodied in two aspects: characteristics of relegation culture and evaluation of local cultural value. The conclusion, certainly affirming the positive contribution to local cultural construction in Guangxi made by Dong Chuance, and his poems is of important reference value to research about local Folklore and Culture-study in Guangxi. Covering the shortage of relative document material, and providing some useful help to the research work of related discipline.
