The typological study on the black-glazed porcelain in Henan during from Tangto Jin dynasties was based on the study of predecessors. The article was divided intofive chapters.In the first chapter,we reviewed the research status of the black-glazed porcelainin Henan during from Tang to Jin dynasties, and explained the purpose andsignificance of writing. In addition, the range of the time and area was limited.In the second chapter, on the basis of stratigraphy, we tried a typological analysisof the black-glazed porcelain in different decorative varieties.In the third chapter, the development process of the black-glazed porcelain inHenan province was divided into for stages. It was the initial period of developmentduring the first stage. The second stage during from the last of Tang dynasty to theinitial of Song dynasty was the mature period of the black-glazed porcelain. The thirdstage was the prosperity and development period of black-glazed porcelain in Henan.The bagworm fall stage was in the late of Jin.In the forth chapter, through the comparison of the black porcelain in Henan areaand the typical liln products in surrounding areas, in order to investigate thecommunication of the decoration process.The last chapter summarizes the main viewpoints and some limitations.
