There are inherent consistencies between country gentlemen, nation andgrass-roots society,so country gentlemen are very important.they plays a bridge tocommunicate grass-roots society and and nation.Wan Chengfeng is the outstandingrepresentative of Jiangxi country gentlemen in the Qing Dynasty. Before the age oftwenty-nine, he studied in Xiushui and surrounding areas. Therefore he had deeppassionate attachment to grass-roots society. At the age of twenty-nine, he passed theimperial examination, became a Shujishi and the primary teacher of emperorDaoguang, at that time, emperor was new born. And Wan Chengfeng exerted certaininfluence of emperor Daoguang. Later he ups and downs in officialdom for many timsand serve as a Jingyan speaking Officer all the time. He went straight in his lifetime,and finally he became Bingbu Shilang. After emperor Daoguang ascended the throne,he was grateful to the teaching of Wan Chengfeng, and Confer posthumously him as aMinister of Rites. It is glory to him.As an official, Wan Chengfeng was conscientious and did his best in his work, hedared to criticize malpractice and served the people. As a member of the Jiangxicountry gentlemen, no matter where he was, he maintained a deep hometown complex.His heart remained in hometown Xiushui, and maintained close ties to relatives,friends, teachers, and keeped close contact with scholars in his hometown. WanChengfeng was enthusiastic about construction in his hometown, paid attention topromote the dissemination of native history and culture and ancient style. Comparewith the local gentlemen, he played a more powerful role. As a scholar, he was alsovery good, his He Pu readme chronicle, he described his whole life in plainandnatural writing style, provides reliable materials for future generations to study hishometown Xiushui. His Si Bu Ru Zhai Collection is his complete works in his life. It including four volumes Si Bu Ru Zhai Anthology, three volumes Si Bu Ru ZhaiOuter Set, four volumes Si Bu Ru Zhai Poetry, four volumes Si Bu Ru Zhai GengYang Ji, one volume Si Bu Ru Zhai Fu GengYang Ji,. These collection are rich incontent, covering a wide range, and has a certain research value of rural society,. Itcan help us understanding the hometown complex of country gentlemen in QingDynasty, therefore the research of Wan Chengfeng’s collection is necessary.This paper, takes the historical materials about Wan Chengfeng from Named Wanrebuild the Genealogy in FenNing in the Ding Chounian, Si Bu Ru Zhai Collection,and He Pu readme chronicle as the core, using the research approach of studies ofhistorical literature, to analyze comma of sentences and phrases and collate theinterrelated historical materials. After the former work, I’d like to receive the scholars’research results such as the “The squire theory” and incestigate the hometowncomplex of Wan Chengfeng, so as to enrich the study of country gentlemen’shometown complex in Qing Dynasty.Let’s seethe spread state of the related literatures. Si Bu Ru Zhai Collection, HePu readme chronicle,the record of Mr. Wan and Liu lady relics remains in theEmperor Jiaqing twenty-one years (1816) by Gu Wa Shan Fang, as well as the GuangXiao Tang edition of Named Wan rebuild the Genealogy in FenNing in the DingChounian.
