In this paper, the seven timing time of modern Chinese adverb "chi zao(迟早), zao wan(早晚), ou er(偶尔), jian huo(间或), you shi(有时),shi er(时而),sui shi(随时).”First of all, we,from the perspective of the semantic features, summarizes its semantic commonness,and then according to the differences between them are divided into classes in the morning and evening("zao wan(早晚)"、" chi zao(迟早)")," ou er(偶尔)","jian huo(间或)","you shi(有时)","shi er(时而)"and"sui shi(随时)") at any time, and a detailed analysis of its internal semantic differences.Secondly we from two aspects as adverbial and as attributive to examine the syntax function of timeadverbs as adverbials from their syntactic position, the choice of predicate, and other parts of speech of theco-occurrence analysis three aspects; As attributive in "time adverb+de(的)+X" in the "X" thecomposition and the structure of syntactic function, and summarized its attributive.We look at them again in the oral language and written language style of distribution, and analyzes itscharacteristics.We finally the study summarized the content of the full text, and the shortage of the research on thisarticle. Hope on the basis of the predecessors’ and in this paper, we can be more profound understanding ofthe timing of time adverbs nature and function, to better applied to language practice.
