Both bodies and mind of students at adolescent stage are in rapid development and gradual maturity. There are a lot of researches which regard students as subjects, studying characteristics on their physical, mental and other aspects. Students in secondary schools vary from attachment objects, emotional intelligence to mental health level. Many studies have shown that attachment and emotional intelligence have a significant impact on the development of students in secondary school.Through the questionnaire including576high school students and their teachers in Xi’an, this article studies relationship among their attachment, emotional intelligence and adaptive orientation of mental health and puts forward some meaningful suggestions according to the research results. The questionnaire selects emotional intelligence scale (EIS), teacher attachment scale and orientation of mental health scale as subjects.The results are as follows:First, there are gender differences for secondary school students in such dimensions as emotional intelligence, teacher attachment score, adaptiveorientation of mental health in learning. While, there are no gender differences for students in emotional intelligence scores and accept for teacher attachment help.There are differences in emotional dimension of emotional intelligence and emotional perception for high school students on whether their parents have divorced. Emotional perception of students with divorced parents is lower than that of students with both parents. There are also differences in teacher attachment on whether their parents have divorced. Teacher attachment is higher for students with divorced parents than those with both patents.In addition, there are differences in grades of students on such dimensions as emotional self-regulation of emotional intelligence, emotional regulation on others and teacher attachment score, acceptance for help, mental health score on adaptive orientation, happiness of life, willingness to learn, interpersonal harmony and emotional stability. There are differences for students in interpersonal harmony and emotional stability on length of school time.Secondly, relevant analysisshow that teacher attachment, emotional intelligence and mental health are positively related to the adaptation orientation of mental health.Thirdly, the teacher and student attachment affects adaptation orientation of mental health whereas emotional intelligence has an effect on the adaptation orientation of mental health. Emotional intelligence partially mediates the influence of the student and teacher attachment on adaptation orientation of mental health.
