Intangible cultural heritage is invisible, and it inherits mainly relyingon the inheritance people passing on orally or by hands. And that makesthe dependence on those inheritance people for its succeeding anddevelopment. Therefore, it is of crucial importance to study thoseinheritance people in protection and inheritance research. It is well worthstudying roundly and thoroughly on Zhang Hai,a versatile successor onintangible cultural heritage and Chinese traditional culture.This study,based on theoretical methods including the anthropology of music,collected primary data through ethnographic fieldwork and interviewrepeatedly in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County. Obtained knowledgeon Zhanghai’s lifespan, artist career, recreation and composition ofDong-flute and Lusheng, the influence of his Yege and Pipa tune, and hisinheritance and development of Dong’s art as well as his contribution.For the lack of concerning on traditional arts and composition ofZhanghai, this study will discuss the relations between his works andsocial life, thus to analyze his impacts on Dong’s culture and society.Thisresearch is supposed to be helpful for a all-round and thoroughunderstanding of this elite versatile inheritance man, and be of a positiverole for passing on and developing the Dong’s traditional culture.
