China’s Cultural Soft Power Existing Problem And Countermeasure Research

With the rapid development of globalization, international competition becomes moreintense. A country wants to take over the initiative in the fierce international competition, notonly to improve hard power of economy, science and technology, and military and so on asthe core of countries, but also to improve the culture, values and moral standards as the coreof national soft power. Cultural soft power is playing an important part in the internationalcompetition, and connecting soft power with hard power is to promote the development of thecountry. The Third Plenary Session of the eighteenth meeting of China, the future of culturalconstruction content: Construction of socialist cultural power, enhance national cultural softpower, must adhere to the direction of socialist advanced culture, adhere to the path ofdevelopment of socialist culture China characteristics, adhere to the people as the center ofthe guide, to further deeper the reform of the cultural system. At present, Cultural soft powerin China started relatively late compared with western countries, it is still in a stage ofdevelopment. Enhancing China’s cultural soft power is the urgent task that we are facing inour country. This article obtains from the culture and studied the problem of China’s culturalsoft power. Through the study we clarify the problem of cultural soft power in our country,and put forward the corresponding countermeasures.This paper includes four parts:The first part: Introduction. This part mainly elaborated the selected topic backgroundand significance, research status at home and abroad, the emphases and difficulties of researchand innovation points. This part is mainly for the following research.The second part: the overview of culture. This part firstly introduces the concept,function and characteristics of culture, and then expounds the connotation and essence of softpower. The article illustrates the meaning of national image of China’s cultural soft powerfrom enhancing national cohesion，promoting social harmony and resisting the invasion ofwestern culture.The third part: the situation of China’s cultural soft power. First this part illustrates fromcarrying forward the excellent traditional culture, going out from modern culture，andenhancing the international influence of our country’s achievements in the construction ofcultural soft power. Secondly we are facing a problem about the mainstream culture shock, culture industry development lagging behind, the cultural trade deficit, the weak culturecommunication ability, and poor outstanding cultural heritage to discuss the cultural softpower in China.The fourth part: countermeasures of enhancing China’s cultural soft power. This articleexpounds the countermeasures of enhancing China’s cultural soft power from strengtheningthe leading mainstream culture on cultural development, inheriting Chinese excellenttraditional culture, improving the international competitiveness of China’s cultural industry,and promoting national comprehensive cultural quality, etc.Hope this research is to make a small contribution to China’s cultural soft power.
