Hou Hsiao-Hsien is a representative for Taiwan new movie, and is also the most energetic and creative vision and the most profound movie master. As an^priental giant, his films received from quite a lot of western movies, Hou Hsiao-Hsien has become the western film culture and the fusion of Chinese culture. This article selected topic, aesthetic style of Hou Hsiao-Hsien film attempts to comb systematically and expressed by the analysis of Hou Hsiao-Hsien film aesthetic qualities. In detail, Hou Hsiao-Hsien film aesthetic style characteristics, on the basis of analysis of Hou Hsiao-Hsien film aesthetic characteristics. Then back up and dig a source of Hou Hsiao-Hsien film aesthetic characteristics. Finally, the Hou Hsiao-Hsien film aesthetic style’s influence on China’s film and disadvantages are summarized.
