From2010to2013year, people have witnessed the carnival3years of network buzzwords in China. Network buzzwords, developed from network, has amount of cases. In this essay, I selected several important network buzzwords cases with wide influence across the society. With the theory of linguistics, semiotics, communications and other fields, I mainly use Norman Fairclough’s textually-oriented discourse analysis as my theoretical and practical ways. First, from micro level, analyze Vancl case from grammar, consistence, words meaning and text structure. Second, from meso level, analyze the dynamic process of network buzzwords’ production and consumption. Last, from macro level, analyze the cultural and value reasons which led to this phenomenon, and discuss the power of discourse based on Ideology and Hegemony theory.
