Frame Construction Of Export-oriented Chinese On-line Dictionary

As the study of Mandarin becoming popular, more and more foreigners choose tolearn Chinese. In Chinese Language and Culture Institute of Jinan University, thereare many foreigners from all over the world studying Chinese each year. Basing onmy experience in teaching and teaching material writing, I found that the requirementof vocabulary is multidirectional. Vocabulary is the foundation of the language. Anddictionary is important for active learning. So developing a kind of new Chinesedictionary for foreigners is deeply necessary.Concept Map Theory is presented by Joseph D.Novak in60s,20century. As aneffective teaching method, it is widely used in teaching field. But it is hardly found inteaching Chinese for foreigners. This paper will construct a online dictionary which isbased on the Concept Map Theory and successful experience in foreignlearner-oriented dictionary editing, to make up the defects of traditional foreignlearner-oriented dictionary. The online dictionary aims to provide a new way forlearners’ vocabulary studying.
