A Study On Chinese Glossary Compilation In Electronic Dictionary For Beginning Chinese Learners

In the international teaching of Chinese,the dictionary is very important,and with the advent of the era of big data,the dictionary has gradually shifted from paper to electronic versions.While with such swift development,the electronic Chinese dictionary compiled and developed by Chinese is rare,and there is no specific electronic dictionary for beginning learners who learn Chinese as a foreign language(CFL).On this basis,this article studies development and vocabulary of the existing dictionary of Chinese as a foreign language,and concludes principles of collecting vocabulary,and compiles the vocabulary of electronic dictionary for beginning Chinese learners who learn Chinese as a foreign language.The first chapter of this thesis illustrates the background,reasons and the recent researches on the development of Chinese paper dictionaries and electronic dictionaries.The second chapter studies the development of paper and electronic dictionaries and the vocabulary situation,in which the print dictionary will be focused on the dictionary of contemporary Chinese learning that is suitable for the beginning CFL learners,and the electronic dictionary will be focused on widely-used "pleco” and its advantages and disadvantages.The third chapter is based on the characteristics of language learning software and the principles of lexical selection.The fourth chapter determines the number of selected words according to the implications of the Literacy Campaign and the order theory of second language acquisition.And then the thesis collects the primary vocabulary by comparing the vocabulary lists of CFL documents and textbooks including Chinese Language Teaching syllabus for Non-Chinese Students of Higher Institutions,Chinese Vocabulary of Different Proficiency and Graded Chinese Characters,The New Version of HSK: Level 1-6,The Chinese international Education Syllable Characters Vocabulary Hierarchy,International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education,Chinese Learning Coursebook,.At last,this thesis presents the six comprising glossary of the electronic Chinese dictionary for beginning Chinese learners in the appendix and analyzes the characteristics of this eletronic Chinese dictionary.It helps primary Chinese learners quickly grasp the new vocabularies,better use in daily communication life,but also promote the development of Chinese international education.
