The Research Of Decorative Patterns Of Mosque In Western China

In order to explore the traditional Islamic decorative patterns in western China,and to enlighten decorative patterns of modern Islamic, this paper deeply studies thedecorative patterns in the western Islamic mosques. The paper combines thetheoretical research and practical conditions for it studies the specific patterns of themosque, and it better illustrates the theoretical significance and practical significance.On the basis of comparison between China decorative patterns and Arabia’s Islamicdecorative patterns, it discovers the unique artistic content in western Chinadecorative patterns.Firstly, the paper elaborates Islamic decorative patterns involving religiousculture and analyses its intrinsic core cultural values and religious values. It looksback historical background and human environment and the geography of Islamicdecoration art, and it sums up the general artistic features of Islamic decorativepatterns, discusses its plant decorative patterns, geometric decorative patterns,calligraphy decorative patterns of the classic art form and classic colors, so as toexplore the inherent aesthetic characteristics.Secondly, it discusses the development and evolution of decorative patterns ofmosque in western China. It is about background information which Islam and itsdevelopment and evolution of decorative patterns in western China, roughly sorted thedevelopment and evolution of decorative patterns. What is more, it is a comparativestudy between Chinese decorative patterns and western decorative patterns. If areligious art is widely accepted by people, it is necessary to integrate into the localtraditional culture. It is observed that the Islamicarchitectural decoration characterized can be influence by Islam and also continue topenetrate the Chinese traditional culture. The decorative arts of mosque in westernChina have a harmonious way by china culture and Arab culture and have a breakthrough and development.Thirdly, the research shows that decorative patterns of Islamic in western Chinabreak some taboos of decorative patterns of Arabia Islamic such as decorated withanimal patterns taboo which are Chinese traditional dragon and some other animals.On the plants decorative patterns, there are traditional lotus, plum, chrysanthemumplants and other Chinese elements. On the color interpretation, it also shows theChinese nation unique local color. These improvements and integrations with mosquein their own unique contribute to the decorative arts.Based on the above study, it has found that the decorative patterns of mosque inwestern China are a unique nationality and regionality. With the development ofnational culture, we should inherit and carry forward the traditional decorativepatterns of Islamic and discover the modern elements embedded in them and give thegreat inspiration of patterns of contemporary design.
