Research On Environmental Ethics Problems In Urban Construction Of South Jiangsu

The South Jiangsu, located in China’s Yangtze River delta economic hinterland,has always been the focus of China’s economy. Advantages of region and ecologicalresources are highlighted. With the development of unban construction, theecological environment has been severely destroyed, failing to coordinate with thepace of economy. In order to solve these problems lying in urban construction ofSouth Jiangsu, many technical approaches have been taken, instead of reflectionsand understanding upon philosophy and social science. Combining environmentalethics principles with urban construction achievements of South Jiangsu willenhance the present humanistic values and promote environmental morality.This paper studies on many aspects of urban construction of South Jiangsu,under the guidance of environmental ethics. By searching dates and investigatingcurrent situation, we find out the manifestations and causes of the problems, thusproposing the principles and strategies.There are several problems against environmental ethics in urban constructionof South Jiangsu, such as lacking environmental ethics concerns in the process ofplanning, lacking environmental ethics constraint in the process of implementingand lacking environmental ethics in the process of management.The reasons for these problems are too-short-term-profit focused, insufficientattentions to environmental ethics education, unsound environmental accountabilitymechanism, etc.This paper explores the scientific, innovative solutions via environmental ethics,by strengthening environmental ethics education, building a consummateaccountability system, leading an innovative lifestyle and fulfilling environmentalethics requires. When all the factors are examined, we may create a green,sustainable city of South Jiangsu.
