Hyponymy is a widespread semantic relationship in words. Based on thethorough discussion of the hypernym and hyponym, this paper investigates thedifferent categories of biased errors when Korean students acquire Chinesepsychological verbs, the reason of such errors, and the correspondent teachingstrategies. The paper chooses the psychological verbs from The general outline of Chinesevocabulary and Chinese characters as the research targets. First, the paper divides thewords into groups according to their semantic meanings; secondly, examines thewords in a same group from semantical, grammatical, and pragmatical perspectives;and then, delimits the words from the hyponymy aspect. This paper selects the Korean students’ corpus from the HSK dynamiccomposition corpus as the research material, searches the psychological verbs in theaforementioned corpus, contrasts the biased errors in the psychological verbs, anddescribes the possibility of the replacement of hyponyms to hypernyms. According tothe results of the research, the paper concludes the biased errors when Koreanstudents use psychological verbs which are related to the hyponymy, and examinesthe avoidance strategy when the Korean students acquire Chinese psychological verbs.
