An argument is a discussion that the cross-cultural question of Rorschach. Someresearchers pointed out that the Rorschach method might qualify for being aculture-free method because it presents stimuli and requires tasks that are notfrequently encountered in specific cultures. Some researchers indicate that theRorschach inkblot method is affected by cultural differences, some evidence attests toits cultural sensitivity. In the context of this line of thought,Rorschach researchers allover the world have performed cross-cultural studies and normative studies. Butthere is no related research in china. The current study reveals the normative data thatapplies to168Chinese university students and differences between our sample andExner’s sample. On the other hand, our study can offer important basis for Chinesenormative data. Methods: A total of80undergraduates and88postgraduate students wereadministered the Rorschach, the SDS,the SAS and the Rorschach ComprehensiveSystem.Results:1、The ICC of each response which scored by researchers is0.77to1.00. Interraterreliability between two raters for10response segments was good to excellent.2、There was no significant difference in terms of productivity(R)、 effort(Zf)、Lambda and minus form quality(X-%).3、CS administration principles are feasible in Chinese population, only Chinese gavecontent responses that were culture specific, which also was observed in the currentstudy.4、 Results from this study share many similarities among them and somedissimiliarities with the official Rorschach Comprehensive System (CS) referencedata. This study often found a lower form level and fewer popular answers, fewercolor answers, but more Dd and passive、PHR. lower EA and D score, lower Afr、FD、FC、CF and COP. fewer extratensive and more pervasive introversive persons, lower X+%but higher Xu%and X-%. more HVI、DEPI、CDI,lower FQxo,higherFQxu、FQx-.5、Our findings indicate the necessity for constituting normative data for China.
